Resistance is often spoken of as a serious act, a refusal, a struggle, or a battle.
We want to start from a different place, to explore other forms of resistance—those underlying our identities, our outbursts, and our turmoil. Because to resist is also to continue desiring. To continue creating. To continue laughing. To continue writing despite everything.

Joy is not the opposite of anger; it can accompany anger in its irreverence.
Precariousness, for its part, is not merely a lack of money. It is also the fragility of bodies, rights, languages, and memories. It is living in worlds where certain existences are constantly called into question. And yet, it is often from these margins that the most inventive forms of creation emerge. The artists we welcome know this; they are the very embodiment of it.
None of these people tells exactly the same story. Yet their works converge in a shared intuition: our vulnerabilities are not flaws to be hidden, but starting points from which to invent other worlds.

This opening will explore poetry, literature, performance, activism, desire, love, anger, and celebration.
Because we believe that revolutions are not born solely in protests or assemblies.
They are also born in the books we write in defiance of censorship.
In the languages we refuse to abandon.
In the bodies that keep dancing when everything demands they disappear.
In the communities that care for one another even as everything pushes toward isolation.

Joy is not a reward after the revolution.
It is already a way of bringing it about.

Mackenzy BERGILE portrait cred DR

Mackenzy Bergile

Mackenzy Bergile is a Franco-Haitian choreographer, poet, pianist, and composer. His work lies at the intersection of dance, writing, music, and installation art. Through performance, exhibitions, and writing, he explores themes of memory, family narratives, missing archives, and acts of reparation.
Lylybeth MERLE portrait cred Gautier Berr

Lylybeth Merle

Born in Strasbourg in 1991, Lylybeth Merle is an author, director, drag performer, and queer activist. After studying drama at INSAS, she discovered a love for cabaret. She staged *LILITH(s)* in 2022, *Hippocampe* in 2023, and has been touring the traveling production *Cabaret Poème* since 2023. In her work, she blends the intimate with the poetic and advocates for care as a means of reconnecting with oneself and the world; vulnerability as a transformative force; and the sharing of personal experiences to foster a sense of collective self-discovery. Coming from a queer and underground background, she explores the institutionalized cultural landscape and works to build bridges between different spaces and audiences to rebuild a connection that she feels is all too often fragile. Through her writing, she speaks to those whose journeys, experiences, and misadventures are similar, in order to counter the feeling of isolation and loneliness. Equally, she seeks to connect with those who are unfamiliar with these issues—those who wish to discover, learn, and question together.

Asmaa’s audio visual performances have been staged at leading festivals around the world.
