Shira Abramovich grew up between the United States and Israel, and now lives in Montreal. She writes and translates poetry while pursuing a PhD at McGill University, where she studies the intersection of languages, written forms, and computer science. Her poems in English have been published in literary journals such as Crashtest, Polyphony HS, and The Adroit Journal. Her poetic work has also received the Claudia Ann Seaman Award and the Edwin M. Honig Memorial Prize.
