Lisette Lombé is a multi-faceted, border-crossing artist whose work is animated by poetic, scenic, plastic, militant and pedagogical practices. Her writings and struggles are based on her own personal experience as a woman, mother and teacher. The result is collages, performances, books and workshops, transmitters of rage and eros. Co-founder of the Collectif L-SLAM, in 2017 she was awarded the Citoyenne d'Honneur de la Ville de Liège for her work as an artivist and ambassador of slam to the four corners of the French-speaking world. In 2020, she received a Golden Afro Artistic Award for her novel Vénus Poética (ed. L'Arbre à Paroles) and the Prix Grenades/RTBF for her collection Brûler brûler brûler (ed. l'Iconoclaste). She is the current Belgium's National Poetess 2024-2025.
