Lorrain Voisard has worked in various jobs. He began in a fast-food restaurant, then in the fields. In 2018, he spent six months working in a slaughterhouse in French-speaking Switzerland.For the past twelve years, he has worked as a gardener, while also studying French and English literature, then translation, at university.His powerful debut story, Au cœur de la bête, a work at the crossroads of novel and documentary, draws on his experience in the slaughterhouse and was awarded the 2024 RTS Audience Prize.
