Jonathan Carrier was born on April 10, 1983. After spending 12 years on the streets, he writes about and bears witness to life on the streets. Hope, despair, and anger drove him into the world of activism through the Syndicat des Immenses. Jonathan loves the stage; he created his own poetry performance with his friends Alice, Vic, Rosa, Balthazar, and Sébastien. For nearly three years now, Jonathan has been co-facilitating the “Litanies and Poetry” workshops for the collective Les Morts de la rue. Starting in August 2026, Jonathan will lead writing workshops at the Maison Poème in Saint-Gilles for clients of L’Îlot and other non-profits assisting the homeless.
He is the author of three books published by maelstrÖm reEvolution: L’immense jeu, L’immense jeu D’eux et Jamais D’eux Sans Toit (May 2026).
