Hoza Savarino, a fifth-year student at the Valence School of Fine Arts and communications coordinator for the sixth edition of Poetik Bazar, develops her artistic practice by exploring the permeability and connections between fiction and biography, as well as the relationship between memory and care.
A collector of stories of all kinds, she is interested in how the mediums she creates can accompany and convey these stories to the audience. Using copperplate engraving, writing, oil painting, and film photography as her preferred techniques, her works invite dialogue to encourage audiences to perceive and develop ways to care for memories, places, objects, moments, or relationships. This fascinating and meticulous work interlocks with itself like a puzzle, aiming to highlight acts of care, the preservation of stories, and their perception in our contemporary environment.
