What does it mean to be well in the age of capitalism?
How can we look after our health?
During a writing and reading workshop led this summer by Siméon MB and Réianne Ismaili, participants shared their perspectives and ideas on health, at the intersection of feminist, queer and decolonial struggles.
At the Poetik Bazar, these readings will give birth to a political discourse that brings us together.

Our speakers
Siméon MB
Although he hated literature classes, Siméon MB eventually succumbed to the lure of the theater. His approach in workshops and educational activities can be summed up in a few questions: How do you make the transition from voice to paper, and vice versa? How do you bring people, words, and creations into dialogue with one another?
Siméon loves the important things: coming up with titles for projects, voicing his opinion, and removing spaces before commas. He practices active rest (while standing) and lazy writing (from his bed). As part of the Fléau social collective, he/she co-authored and co-directed the publication of the play *L’Homosexualité, ce douloureux problème*, which was released in May 2024 by Editions Burn~Août. This project led to workshops on self-archiving and documenting the intimate.

Réianne Ismaili
As a publisher, literary speaker, and newly minted bookseller, Réianne Ismaili wears many hats. When she’s not recording a podcast, attending literary events, or stuck on Metro Line 2, Réianne leads reading and writing workshops—a space to reflect together, connect, express ourselves, and escape. She has a unique knack for bringing texts into dialogue with one another and breathing life into contemporary poetry.
