Atelier ouvert : écriture de petites annonces poétiques

Nana Quinn invites you to take a fresh look at the concept of classified ads, particularly the missing persons section. Whether it’s a friend we’ve lost touch with for no particular reason, a lover who’s slipped away, an absent father, a distant aunt who died mysteriously, the cat from our childhood, or even a part of ourselves that slipped away with the fall, we all have our share of missing people, each carrying their own share of grief or unanswered questions.

Based on this theme, you’ll be invited to write a short poetic piece. The author will offer some writing prompts for this text, which could take the form of a missing-person notice or a letter addressed to the person of your choice.

What do the people who leave behind leave us? Aren’t we all someone else’s loss?

Since every missing-person notice includes a photo, you’ll also be invited to create an image inspired by this person—using your imagination—with magazine clippings and colored pencils.
