For the 33rd anniversary, a trio will share different moments in the history of the house. Readings of 'L'air fou' by Jonas Fortier and 'Fille Méchante' by Juliette Langevin will tell a recent part of this story. Each book published by L'Oie has a singular form, and from one book to the next a medley of poems will share a long trajectory of encounters and friendships, which continues to slowly but surely explore poetry where we don't always expect it.

ABOUT L'OIE DE CRAVAN

Since 1992, L'Oie de Cravan has been offering books that are different, beautiful and inexpensive, carrying poetry in all its forms, poetically significant wholes, where the text matches the object. Often unclassifiable, his poetry is hybrid and decompartmentalized, lively and astonishing, sometimes trashy but always chiseled.

Juliette Langevin

Juliette Langevin

Born in Montreal in 1996, Juliette Langevin loves to scream, take notes and watch people go through little disasters. Under the pseudonym Nina Shulman, she has published several zines. Fille méchante, her first collection, won the Prix des libraires in 2024. From the age of 19, she worked as a sex worker, first online, then in person. Her practice and the inspiration for her work are rooted in her experience of reality. She writes from massage parlors, strip-club booths, St-Michel district laundries and bar toilets: her writing comes to life in places where poetry is unimaginable. The result is a language in their image: sincere, raw, violent and familiar.
Jonas Fortier

Jonas Fortier

Jonas Fortier is a poet, editor and translator. He has worked in Montreal's micro-publishing scene, with the En jachère publishing cooperative and La passe. He has published three collections with L'Oie de Cravan, including Chansons transparentes in 2019 and Courbure de la terre in 2022, which won the Prix international de poésie Yvan-Goll in Paris. His latest book, published in 2024, is L'air fou. A finalist for several literary prizes in Quebec, L'air fou was awarded the Prix Emile Nelligan in 2025. Jonas also co-edits the poetry magazine Tantôt with Shawn Cotton and Hermine Ortega.
Adrien Tournier

Adrien Tournier

From the publishing office in Montreuil, Adrien is responsible for printing and distributing the Oie de Cravan books to bookstores in France and Europe. A long-standing friend of the publishing house, he has traveled through its books, accompanied its stories, and helped both in Montreal and Montreuil to bring to life places where poems can be heard. To bring books to life, you have to constantly reinvent life (and vice versa).
