In the form of slam, dialogue, or speech, these young people from Brussels will share a piece of who they are, the struggles they fight, and the world they dream of— all orchestrated by Inès Talaouanou as master of ceremonies.

They use words to bring beauty when everything seems ugly.
They use words to denounce, to fight, to unite.
They use words to express their dreams, the world as they would like it to be.

Their names are Ousmane, Sinouane, Ance, Youssra, Drissia, Vincianne, Mouna, Imane, Adrien, Klea, Charlotte, Gonzague. Young people from the non-profit Réciproque and the Ambassadeurs d'expression citoyenne, it is with their words, their rhythms, through their intonations that we will talk about identity, colonialism, community, love.

Réciproque asbl

Born from the conviction that “freedom of expression, which is fundamental, must be lived with respect for others, through dialogue and mutual listening, and above all in the most accurate, nuanced, and well-argued expression of each person’s thoughts,” Réciproque aims, through training and debating competitions, to enable every young person—whoever they are and wherever they come from—to express themselves freely and gain self-confidence. In short: to make their voice heard!
