Presentation of his new collection Tussenbruggen, a multilingual publication in Dutch, French, English, Brussels dialect, and Arabic, which will be released in September by PoëzieCentrum.
The poet wrote the work featured in this collection as part of the ‘on the go’ project, a series of mixtapes and sound walks through the city of Brussels during lockdown. For the sonic version, he collaborated with Paulo Rietjens (Stikstof, Frontal Studio) and Kyle Coppens (multi-instrumentalist, Belvedear). Alex Deforce is a poet, radio presenter, and DJ. He is known for his involvement in the Belgian underground music scene, particularly in electronic and experimental music genres.

Alex Deforce
In early 2019, Alex Deforce (b. 1984) took his first poetic steps with Victor De Roo's Nachtdichter on Amsterdam's Knekelhuis label. More recently, he contributed poetic interludes to Brihang's Casco album, reciting poems by Georges Perec. His debut solo 7-inch vinyl was released in 2020 on Brussels Lexi Disques, featuring poetry set to music by Charlotte Jacobs and Wiet Lengeler. In 2022, he founded Les Editions Deforce, a small publishing house with releases from collaborations with Victor De Roo, Paulo Rietjens, and Azertyklavierwerke.
