Laura Schlichter was born in 1978 in Besançon. With a Master's degree in Marketing, she has built her career in Communication. After numerous travels and an expatriation in Finland, she settled in Brussels in 2011.
The love for words in relation to the world has always inhabited Laura. She passionately ventured into poetry through slam practice in 2020 during a workshop led by Belgian poet Lisette Lombé (L-SLAM collective). Since then, she has transformed her Instagram account @Laura_dans_lair into a poetic laboratory where exploration of forms and themes fuels her daily writing.
In 2022, she initiated a movement of poetic collages called #lesmursmemurmurent. She joined the Brussels slam collective Slameke. She participated in the 4th edition of the Poetic Voice Server, the anthology of which was published by Le Chouette Imprévue.
Following Murmurations (2023, maelstrÖm), Laura Schlichter immerses us in Recoudre la nuit (2024, maelstrÖm), a journey into the depths of absence - poems to navigate through the tumult of silence.
