Katelijne De Vuyst (1958) studied Romance philology at Ghent University. She completed additional training in literary translation at the Lessius Hogeschool in Antwerp. Since 1996, she has translated prose from French, poetry to and from French, as well as from English and Modern Greek. She has translated works by Louis Aragon, Blaise Cendrars, Anne Sexton, Paul Valéry, Jules Barbey d’Aurevilly, Emmanuel Bove, Caroline Lamarche, and Oliver Rohe, among others. She is an editor at the Poëziekrant and regularly conducts workshops on literary translation.
