Haleh Chinikar, born in Iran, has been residing in Brussels since 2007. As an artist and poet, she focuses her creations on themes of the body, memory, and language, which she intertwines with textile. In her recent works, she incorporates installation and performance, thereby fostering a shared experience with the audience. In November 2021, her poetry collection titled "Where is my home?" was published by La Place Editions. This book, in the form of a long poem, explores the complexities of identity, belonging, displacement, and the multifaceted notion of "home". Her blend of words and gestures, which she calls "melting-pot", invites reflection and engagement in profound human experiences.
