In early 2019, Alex Deforce (born in 1984) took his first poetic steps on 'Nachtdichter' by Victor De Roo, released by the Amsterdam-based label Knekelhuis. More recently, he provided Brihang with poetic interludes on his 'Casco' album, where he recited poems by Georges Perec. In 2020, his first solo 7-inch vinyl was released on the Brussels-based Lexi Disques label, featuring poetry set to music by and with Charlotte Jacobs and Wiet Lengeler. In 2022, Les Editions Deforce was launched, a small publishing house with releases of collaborations with, among others, Victor De Roo, Paulo Rietjens, and Azertyklavierwerke.
